as the title suggest (and also while i'm still in the mood to listen to my old anime song collection) here are song kick-ass, awesome anime songs i wanna share with you peeps. for those who just rolled their eyes after reading the first line, please feel free to press alt+f4 :D

1. Kaidoku Funou by Jinn [translated to Indecipherable]

this song was used as the 2nd opening song for the anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. This is quite a rock-ish song i guess? Definitely not your everyday song but it has a good feel to it. haha you decide ey

2. Raion by Jinn

another song by Jinn. this song was used as the 4th opening song (if not mistaken) for Blood +. Another song like the previous, fast beat and ever so awesome!! though some first time listeners might find her songs a bit weird, repeated listening may prove otherwise.

3. Kono Machi De Wa Dare Mo Ga Minna Jibun Igai No Nanika Ni by Ivory Brothers

Used as the 3rd ending song for The Law of Ueki, this song is totally my type of song. I don't know how to describe it because I'm sort of a big blur when it comes to music terms ya so i'll let you judge. p/s: i can't find the mv

4. Kokoro no Wakusei (Little Planets) by Aiko Kayou

the very first ending song for The Law of Ueki! Absolutely love this! i think this is a pop ballad, is it? slow yet a bit upbeat? aiya dunno la...haha but i damn love this song!!

5. World End by FLOW

This is the 2nd opening song of Code Geass R2 (Code Geass season2)! Another song i really, really, a gazillion time really, LOVE!!!!

6. Re-Sublimity by KOTOKO

the opening song for Kannazuki no Miko (yes, tht gay series lol). this song is more on the techno side but nevertheless, it is awesome!!!! and KOTOKO is awesome!!! haha

7. Issei no Sei by Shuuhei Kita

the opening for Natsume Yuujinchou. another all time fav!

8. Heart of Sword by T.M. Revolution

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! OMG i first heard this song when i was 7years old! yup ya heard me, 7 YEARS OLD! and i loved it right away!!! This was used as one the ending songs for the series Samurai X.

9. 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou by SIAM SHADE

This song just screams AWESOMEness!!! though i saw the series Samurai X when i was 7, i didn't have any memories of this song. i first heard it when i was 13. Jia and I used to refer this song as "the train song" because in the anime, the mv for this song features train tracks..so yea..hahaha

10. REINCARNATION by Yukana

this is what they would call it a "Character Song", which i think it basically means that it's like the theme song for that character in the show and usually sung by the voice actor/actress of that character. This is the character song for C.C. (pronounced C 2) of Code Geass. at first i didn't really like it but after listening to it a few times and looking up the lyrics translations [which is so befitting that immortal witch lol] i loved it!! and if you ever get the chance, please go and watch Code Geass, it's not a waste of your time. i promise! and you'll love C.C. for sure! haha her personality is definitely something else.

During the Days without Internet

I have tonnes of time on my hands today [28.01.2012], mainly because some idiot cut off the telephone line again, leaving me internet-less for the time being till it gets fixed. To pass time I dug up my old anime OST collection and I’ve been listening to it since..yesterday actually..haha

It feels good to listen to them songs again. Some of those songs are almost ten years old but hey, they say old is gold and I totally agree. Though I’ve been watching some new anime series these few days but their OSTs aren’t as good as the ones from 2003 till 2009. I think music was at its best in that time frame.

Listening to those old songs are really darn nostalgic and even soothing at times, especially when you’re listening to a song from a series that you absolutely loved to death!!! Honestly, they bring back so many memories that I almost cried. I haven't paid much attention those songs ever since I got into Kpop a couple of years back so listening to them now is like...saying hello to an old friend, one which kept me company when I was alone all those years ago.

Yes, when I was younger, people saw me as a weird kid who likes to watch series that nobody understood what the characters were talking about. So you'd think people would take time to understand me? pssh please..they cast me aside like some old movie.

I’ve been watching some ‘new’ series too these days but all those series were from almost ten years ago (2003 etc) and I do find them more enjoyable. Old is gold ey.

Some kids grew up listening to Chinese songs, others English songs etc. I grew up a rather quirky kid. I only listened to JPop. I didn’t really care about what others think of me because I was doing something that I enjoyed doing so who are they to judge me on that ey? Honestly, I find JPop a way better choice of song genre compared to English songs. I don’t really understand what the lyrics mean but who needs to? Music is all about the beat, rhythm and the feelings the singer puts into it. Language plays no important role in music.

It is from all these JPop songs that I’ve heard that I have started to be able to understand the language a bit more. By comparing lyrics of various songs, I am able to come up with a conclusion of like what words/phrases mean what. It’s fun ya know, learning a new language through music. So who cares if you don’t understand the language of the song? It is not a good reason for you not to give it a chance and listen to a song in a foreign language.

I was never a normal kid. When little girls were fussing over their pretty little dresses, I was running around in jeans and t-shirt. When they were playing with their dolls, I was building forts using Lego tiles. When they were busy playing ‘house’ and ‘masak-masak’, I was running around with the boys playing police and robber. When they were fussing about good looking artists, I was watching anime and their good looking characters. I was different, in a way that I still believe was good. It would’ve been boring if I had turned out exactly the same as other girls my age – all with long hair, boy crazy(like, I’m not boy crazy at all to be honest. I’m pretty sure I’m straight, but damn, pretty girls are just too nice to look at, ya know what I mean yo?) taking piano classes etc. I like being different than them, even though it has made me a bit anti-social because I can’t talk to them about anime and so has chosen to keep things to myself.

Something new ey? O.O

so i watched this anime series called Kannazuki no Miko a few weeks ago and i must say, it's a first for me to watch 'this sort' of anime. i put the inverted comas there for a reason ey. because Kannazuki no Miko is a shoujo-ai/yuri anime and if you're unfamiliar with anime terms, i'll gladly explain. Shoujo-ai basically means GirlxGirl (can understand ar? haha) to put it simply, it means girls' love ey. yes it is a gay series (you homophobes can prezz alt+f4 now lol)

well apparently, it has been dubbed "The Best Shoujo-ai EVER" and i can see why. the animation (drawing, colour etc) is really good (even though i watched it through really LQ videos). totally my kind of animation style (it's good but still not good enough to rival Code Geass R2 IMHO).

The story itself is pretty interesting though i have read some comments saying if it weren't for the yuri in it, the show would be a waste of time. i have to agree on it. the series tells a story of two priestesses, reincarnated to fight an evil known as Yamata no Orochi, or just Orochi la. basically they have to fight all 8 members of the evil gang and save the world. simple ey? but the thing is, their mission ain't accomplish until one of the priestesses die, which is the sad part.

the two present time priestesses are Himeko, the Sun Priestess, and Chikane, the Moon Priestess. so...i think i should spare you guys the details, seeing how i think you'll probably find it a bit disgusting for a girl to love another girl ey? (i'm perfectly fine with gays, as long as they don't come and trouble me, i won't find trouble with them) In the end, one of them ended up killing the other, which is so freaking SAD la!!!!!!!!! (hate it when it happens in movies/stories)

and you people can start looking at me one kind d "eee...why she watch this kind of anime wan?" goodness people, be a little bit more open minded. it's just an anime series, it's not even real. like pssh..loosen up a bit ey. haha

the last part was a flashback. this story is going to be made of a series of flashbacks alternating from different period of time in their lives, like their childhood, teenage years and the present time adulthood.

everything will be explained in the coming chapters...hopefully..lol i might get lazy and just drop this whole thing..haha i am basing this story on something that i have been observing for the past year. apparently two clase friends can just stop interacting with each other in just a short amout of time. so i'm trying to write it out..hopefully...O.o and also this story is based on the lyrics of Time Machine (if you haven't noticed, its the song in the current mixpod)

Time Machine Chapter 1: That Day's Time Machine [Long Shot Party]

All these years without you is my punishment,

It was that age when children ran free around the neighborhood, that age when there was no need to worry about college and what not, the age when two people could spend all the time they want together and not care about what’s going to happen the next day- a deeply missed carefree age of their lives.

‘Yo Fany! Who’s that behind you?’ a cheeky looking child greeted another

‘Hi Ty, this is Jessica, my cousin. She just moved here so she doesn’t have any friends yet. You wanna be her friend Ty?’ she asked enthusiastically while her cousin shyly hid behind her.

‘Sure! Hi, I’m Tyler, Ty for short.’ Ty extended his hand for a shake while Tiffany slowly wriggled out of Jessica’s grip and gently nudged her forward.

‘Hi….my name is Jessica. Nice to meet you.’ She shyly took Ty’s hand and shook it.

‘Great!! Now that we’re all friends, let’s go play!!’ the excited Tiffany took both Ty and Jessica’s hand and led them to the playground.

Jessica hadn’t really warmed up to the cheeky Ty yet but there was something in that toothy grin of his that made warming up easy, which was surprising considering how shy she was.

During first day of kindergarten class a couple of days later, Jessica stayed as close as possible to Tiffany because she simply was too shy to reply the others. It didn’t take long before the other kids started to tease her of being a mute.

‘Hey Fany, are you sure she can talk? All she’s been doing the whole day is hide behind you.’ A boy snickered as he mocked Jessica during recess.

‘Go away Jake.’ Fany glared at the laughing boy but quickly turned back to an already teary eyed Jessica ‘don’t bother bout him, Jessi. Let’s go tell Ms Park.’ Tiffany led Jessica out of the class to look for their teacher.

‘hahahaha she follows Fany around like how my dog follows me.’ Jake continued his mockery when all of a sudden a force pushed him and he landed on his bottom with a loud thud and a cry.

‘Why don’t you pick on somebody your own size.’ An angry Ty towered over a sitting boy.

‘Like you?’ he stood up and pushed him.

‘Yes, like me! Leave Sica alone!’ Ty pushed back and soon the two were rolling on the floor, trying to beat each other up.

‘OH MY GOODNESS!! Stop it! stop it!!’ Ms Park came charging into the class and pried the two kids off of each other.

At the end of the day, their parents were called for a little conference with Ms Park. But Ty’s parents were out of town so Jessica’s mother came instead, since her daughter somehow was the cause of the fight.

‘Ty, why did you push Jake?’ Jessica’s mother asked when she walked him to the car alone, Jessica and Tiffany were already inside. She heard everything from Ms Park earlier but she wanted to ask him regardless.

‘He was being mean to Jessica. He said she couldn’t talk and followed Fany around like how his dog follows him. I got angry.’

Mrs Jung gently patted the little boy’s head and said

‘Thank you but you shouldn’t do it anymore, ok? You’ll get hurt.’

‘Ok..’

‘Jessi, why are you packing?’

‘I’m going somewhere…’ Jessica ignored the girl standing at her door and continued with her luggage.

‘And where is this somewhere?’

Jessica let out a sigh and turned to the intruder.

‘Well?’

‘I’m just…going away for a while..ok? now please leave me alone, I need to finish packing soon.’

‘Why???’

‘Because I want to get out of here as soon as possible’ her tone was flat as she rummages her closet for anything that she might need.

‘Why???’

If there’s anything Jessica hate, besides cucumber of course, is a string of whys. Tiffany knew this, and she didn’t care.

‘Why Jessi?’ her menacing whys continued, ‘Why are you leaving when Ty is coming back in two days? Barbeque party, remember??’

‘Because, Tiff, I just do.’

‘Why?’

‘Tiff, enough!!’ Jessica got up and shooed Tiffany out of the room and locked the door.

‘Jessi, you know I have the spare key. I own this place, remember?’ a few minutes later, the sound of keys clanking against each other could be heard and the door knob twisted open soon after.

‘Right, now where were we? Oh yes, why are you leaving?!!!’

‘There’s no point in staying when the person I love doesn’t even look at me anymore.’ Jessica cried and it made Tiffany a bit guilty of sticking her nose in Jessica’s business after seeing the latter had started to sob.

‘Oh no no no no..stop crying please. I didn’t mean to. I mean..i was just curious..i mean..a person’s cousin doesn’t just announce that she’s leaving out of the blue.’ She frantically tried to calm the sobbing girl down.

‘I know…but..it hurts a lot, Tiff…’

‘Sica!!!’ a few moments after the shout was heard, a pair of arms wrapped themselves over Jessica’s shoulders and the person buried his face in the crook of her neck.

‘Tyler…let go…you’re making such a scene.’ Jessica blushed.

‘I don’t care’ his face popped up and gave Jessica a peck on her cheek.

‘PDA much Kim?’

‘Aw..you want one too, Hwang?’ he cheekily grinned at Tiffany.

‘haha since when are the two of you on a last name basis?’ Yuri teased the two friends.

‘Since Fany decided it two minutes ago.’ Ty removed her arms and repositioned them around Jessica’s waist, her chin resting on Jessica’s shoulder.

‘….let go..people are staring…’

6 Months

aw there there, it's all going to be alright. during times like this, it is very important to stay as positive as possible because once you turn negative, the worst of things always seem to be happening to you. so be positive ya!

what is 6months anyway? compared to the amount of time you have when you finish your studies. perseverance is key but i'm sure you'll feel very 'moxing' when you get those guai lan lecturers. just don't care about them and maybe they won't make your life difficult? O~O

anyway, 6months is not that long of a duration la, if you think about it. so..yea..HWATING!!

Results

so as you all know, i repeated my Costing last semester no thanks to that *toot* lecturer of mine in the second semester and results are out today. and i didn't even know that the results were out until my friend asked me about it, was too busy watching Bingbing's movie..lol

anyway, the fruits of labour and hardwork sure is sweet

all i want to say is:

oh hi there =D

Yo did ya miss me? Haha

So I just got back from a trip, well not really ‘just got back’ but it was recent enough to be labeled as ‘just got back’. the trip was freaking awesome and it was so worth the money and energy because we had so much fun! And me being sick on the trip wasn’t much of a bother either, which was a huge plus. Imagine going on a trip with your friends and one of them is sick, and you end up having to take care of the person instead of enjoying yourself properly. Good thing when I get sick, I’m not the kind of person that is like..half dead..LOL

Well, if you think I’m going to end up summarizing the whole trip here in this post, then you thought wrong! Haha because I’m a bit too lazy to use proper adjectives and what not, I’ve decided not to do a summary post because it’ll be a waste of my time and yours because there is no point in writing/reading a post that was written half heartedly.

So I’ve been up and about Sitiawan these few days, jogging in the evening as usual and being the occasional driver, fetching my sister here and there, to and fro from tuition class (not fun btw)

And on Thursday I am finally going karaoke-ing! Like at last! It’s been so long since I’ve been there and I was looking forward to it. was. Because now, an anti snsd friend is invited and I’m wondering how the situation would be like when I put their songs on the queue. But I asked her already and she said she’s cool with it and there won’t be any clashes..lol

So that’s about it for now. Honestly I’m being such a lazy bum these few days so I’m not sure when the next update will be. Just to be safe, there will be a post on February 10^th. Anything before that I cannot guarantee you. LOL
