from long ago

honestly, this was from such a long time ago but still, it makes me feel really happy inside. mainly because i thought that she thought that i was a weirdo she had to put up with for two weeks but a year later another friend messaged me with this link saying

"hey..i think she misses you"

it felt really nice, to be missed by a new friend

Pros and Cons

I’ve been asked this question pretty often now after three months

“So do you like working better or studying better?”

To be very honest, as much as I hate studying, I kinda of like it better. But then again I hate exams to the core, so I like working better. Both have their own pros and cons and here are some that I can think of at the moment:

Studying
Pros:
·         Responsibilities aren’t that big and you know that no matter how badly you screw up a report, you can always unscrew-up by doing well in the finals
·         You can skip class as much as you want when you don’t feel like going (as long as you don’t get barred from exams!)
·         You can yum cha till ungodly hours into the night and sleep half the day away because your class doesn’t start till afternoon
·         No matter how much you delay doing your assignment, you can always get it done if you have awesome and supportive friends who have not gotten tired of your shit
·         Playing around with your friends during lecture and getting away with it because you’re teacher’s pet

Cons:
  • ·         Exams (need I say more?)
  • ·         Lecturers who are making your studying life a nightmare because they can (in other words: lecturers who are asses)
  • ·         Lecturers who are so lousy that you wonder what possessed them to be lecturers in the first place (probably have this diabolical plan to ruin the generation with their disastrous teaching styles)

Working
Pros:
  • ·         NO EXAMS!!
  • ·         Earning and spending your own money a.k.a. financial freedom
  • ·         Having free time (because you don’t need to study anymore) to do whatever you want like hanging out, watching movies, playing games and sports!
  • ·         Feeling like an adult (this is more of an intrinsic thing)
  • ·         Meeting great seniors who are willing to teach and are great friends
  • ·         Having that office team spirit
  • ·         Going on working trips that ended up feeling like a mini vacation

Cons:
  • ·         If you screw something up, prepare to face your immediate superior for a bitching session or possibly being fired on the spot if it’s severe enough
  • ·         Superiors who are making your working life a nightmare because they can (in other words: superiors who are asses)
  • ·         Not knowing what to do because your ass of a superior refuses to teach but instead barks at you for not knowing what to do
  • ·         Client who are making your working life a nightmare because they can (asses, again)
  • ·         The possible mountain of work being pushed to you and you can’t delay getting to them like in Uni

That’s about it I guess? That’s all I can think of at the moment. Close enough XD

Right....

So…

We have this new manager in the office and let’s just say I’m off to a bad start with that woman.

As of today, I’m pretty sure that she thinks that I’m an idiot. I don’t really have anything to say about that because I have been acting like an idiot this week and the last. Either that or I’ve been acting like I’ve always have and I’ve been acting like an idiot all these while. I’m not sure. Take your pick.

It’s like..whatever I do, I will get on her nerves and it is so demotivating. I always seem to not have the answers to her questions because I don’t know that I could/should ask those questions when I went to look for the client. To her, I am a deadweight; a useless deadweight.

I am so demotivated now.

Today was another bad day.

I got scolded again for being an idiot

And this was the only thing that kept me going. I was so happy when I found this on tumblr after that scolding session. But I almost cried listening to it because it was just so…encouraging ya know?

Bobby

Aloha! I am here today to announce that my convocation is this weekend! Do you believe the situation? This kid is finally going to graduate! Hahaha and to all of you who have been with me here in this blogging world since the very beginning (a.k.a. my very first blog) I would like to thank you for putting up with me and my endless rambles and nonsense here in my blogs. Thank you!

And I also have a rather interesting story, let’s call it, to share with you and it’s somehow related ot my upcoming convocation haha!!

So me darling primary school friend is coming to my convo! How awesome is that?! I thought I was going to graduate without a Sitiawan kaki in sight (which was a rather depressing thought) and this sampat said she could come! And thus, we spent a few days texting each other about the convocation trip stuff. And me being me, texted enthusiastically in excitement and with a huge grin apparent on my face. I’ve also texted and walked which, according to my sources, was a first and I have never done it before.

And so, Nice senpai, in her most classic form, asked

“what’s up with you lately? You’re never so eager when texting before. You’ve got a boyfriend, haven’t you!!! Who is he??!!”

And Anna being her cheeky self, replied

“His name is Bobby”

And I could’ve sworn I almost wanted to whack her for the giving my non-existing boyfriend such a name. lol at least give him a better name la walao wei!!

You should’ve seen how senpai’s eyes lit up right away, it was easy to tell that she is very excited and curious about this matter. But she didn’t press on it for a couple of days. I know how she’s like. She was waiting for the perfect time to ask me, when we are alone together and she has me cornered.

That chance could not have come soon enough for her.

A few days after that mini fiasco of Bobby’s ‘revelation’, she finally has me cornered. We car pooled back from the client’s place to our office because I so stupidly left my purse in the dorm so I had her drive us back, which was the start of an interrogation session I had expected. She started as soon as we left the office, while we were walking to the car park.

(mind you, the conversation was entirely in Chinese, a language with no spoken gender-obvious words like ‘him’, ‘his’, ‘her’, or ‘she’. There’s only . So let the conversation begin or should I say let the trolling begin?! I shall be substituting that Chinese character with ‘that feller’ for convenience)

“so when did you two meet?”

“we met in standard 1, we’ve known each other for a very long time. 15 years now. Why are you so curious about this?”

“Because I am and because I want to know what sort of cheesy lines the feller used to win you over!”

(major LOLs on that part XD)

“What makes you think I am dating?”

“Because you are so eager to reply your texts lately. You’re never like that. So when did the feller do for you on valentine’s day? Or you two have not been official yet at that time?”

“the feller was busy with research because it needed to be done if the feller wants to attend my convocation”

“aw! That’s kinda sad in a way, you spent valentine’s day alone? Did you two at least text?”

“No, we did our respective stuff by ourselves. We didn’t contact each other.”

“Do your parents know about this?”

“Oh my parents know the feller. They’re pretty close”

“That’s good! What’s the feller doing? Studying? Working?”

“studying, **** in *** University”

“Wah! Not bad wor you, find this kind of person!”

(honestly it was getting difficult not to laugh at this point)

“So what made you accept the feller?”

“Because we can be sampats together, like how Anna and I are when we’re in the office”

“Ahhh okok..is the person good looking?”

“Not bad looking”

“Fair skin? Tanned?”

“SUPER FAIR!!!!”

“the gym going type?”

“HAHHAHAA NO PLEASE HAHAHAHHA”

But after that I didn’t have the heart to troll her anymore so I explained the whole situation to her. I don’t know if she bought it or not. She was being all curious and all as to why am I so excited texting a girl? And I was like thinking

You don’t get excited to see your friends that you’ve haven’t met in a long time??

So I guess that’s enough for now haha

Oh and I don’t know if nice senpai was thoroughly convinced, after I uploaded that picture on facebook that night lol she was like

“oh..romantic dou..jln jln with your bobie hor? I really zha dou lor”

Hahaha what do you guys think?

Job-cation!

Hola my pretties! How’s you guys doing?

Apologies for the lack of posts lately, I’m still adjusting to this whole “working” concept. It’s surprisingly less dramatic than I thought it would be, you know, unlike in those movies. Things are much simpler in real life. Curse you movies for putting false impressions in my head!

Anyway, I just got back from Muar and it was such an awesome trip! Probably just as awesome as the trip to Sitiawan I had with nice senpai and clover senpai last month. There are 6 of us this time around, as opposed to the 3 we had in the previous trip. This trip I’m with me friend and other senpais who are just really a bunch of jokers underneath their so-called professional outer appearance. Leader senpai is one of them and also manager-nim, like after three months I’m finally going on a fieldwork with leader senpai again haha! I haven’t been on the same team with her since that Bukit Merah trip when I first started intern haha! I wonder what’s her impression on me now? Have I improved? Did I learn anything at all in the past few months?

Apparently I did and I feel really good about it. It’s just a very trivial thing. You see, we use excel a lot in our work so we have to make it tidy so that the reviewer would feel better while reviewing our stuff. It’s kinda like making sure your handwriting is good during exams for the examiner. Having been under Clover senpai for like what? Two months? Two and a half months? I’ve learnt to tidy it up really well if I can say so myself! Clover senpai is notoriously fussy about tidy excel sheets, I’ve noticed throughout the months, and it felt really good when leader senpai asked me to show her how I tidy up and where I learnt it from. Didn’t even bother wiping that stupid grin off my face and it stayed there until..after lunch haha! But of course, nice senpai also taught me a lot on how to tidy things up! Man does it feel good!

Anna and I were saying like this is a job-cation, like a job but it feels like we’re on vacation so job-cation! Haha! It feels really fun going around town looking for food and then just chit chatting and sharing what we’ve been through for the day. It was fun. Hopefully the next job would be equally fun :D

Hi

Hi, my name is Kimmie and if you have heard of me before, it would mean that my mistress was comfortable enough around you to tell you that she had given me a name or my scatter-brained mistress accidentally let my name slip while in a conversation. It doesn’t matter. Either way, hi!

What would come to mind when you first heard my name? Kim Taeyeon? That would what my mistress was going for. She probably loves that idol of hers to bits and wants to name me something that at least resembles her name. et voila! Here we have me today. Weird isn’t it? You’ll have to pardon that crybaby mistress of mine. She’s not only probably the most scatter-brained person you’ll ever meet, but probably also the weirdest.

She couldn’t possibly get any weirder, she told me that herself. Why yes, as a matter of fact she talks to me. Isn’t that weird? She talks to me as though I’m alive or like I’m her pet or something. She called me her baby girl before she decided to just call me Kimmie. Her precious chingoo says I’m my mistress’s daughter, which she agrees. She’s so weird.

You should see when she’s alone in the car. It’s like a full solo concert with the main act going ridiculously off-key and horrendously off-pitch. My mistress does not sing half as well as her idol but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying herself. It gets a little lonely in the car during long distance rides so I suppose she has to do something to entertain herself. Talking to me can only last so long before she runs out of things to say but whenever her favourite songs come up she goes off immediately, which is one of the reasons why she doesn’t like passengers for long rides. She likes her “me and Kimmie time”, as she calls it, so that she can entertain herself freely without worrying that she will disturb others.

She’s incredibly bias and choosy when it comes to who gets to ride in me. If she lets you in, it probably means that she is comfortable enough around you even if it’s after a short conversation. She’s weird like that. The front seat is, in an unwritten law, her chingoo’s. Probably because her chingoo is pretty tall and has long legs, so she lets her sit in the front almost all the time. My mistress enjoys her company a lot because she talks none stop and is pretty lively. She keeps my mistress awake and cheers her up. I can see why the front seat is always reserved for her.

If you think she isn’t weird enough, after reading this you’ll probably think she’s even weirder than before, which is probably true.
