as you guys know, i'm done with my first semester and it's final exams and i also went on a trip down south with a few friends (pics are already up on facebook if you haven't noticed them yet).
it was quite the enjoyable trip, with the exception of chingoo being all clingy and baby-ish around her boyfriend (i seriously didn't know she could be that whiny and in cantonese it would be called 'ttaee'), though i understand since it has been about 5months since she last saw him. other than that, everything was fine.
in Singapore, we stayed at NSRCC, which is basically a resort for the peeps in National Service. chingoo's boyfriend is in NS so he got the special price/discount and we rented the place cheap. the bungalow was so awesome! if you look at it, it's perfect ofr a family of three or four max. it was a very comfortable place but the only thing i didn't like about it was that the walls were all glass. no privacy at all man! lolol
we went to watch Dark Shadows (in JB)! i really liked that film a lot (Johnny Depp was so awesome!! Eva Green was so hot!! and Bella Heathcote was so pretty!!) but chingoo thought otherwise ey. she thought it sucked to the max and kept commenting "shen mo lan si"..much to my chagrin. i thought it was a good movie, with a theme (IMHO) of eternal love and the importance of family. i guess she didn't get the themes and thus didn't get the whole movie's purpose.
the highlight of the trip was, obviously, Universal Studios Singapore, which i find to be more fun and enjoyable than Hong Kong Disneyland. for one thing, they allow us to bring in our own water and food in, unlike HK where they had staff members to check our bags upon entry.
so like that lor my holidays so far =] i have about 1 week left of my break, looking forward to spend it rotting away at home ^^ still, feel free to call me out for yumcha, more than happy to!
