Intro or Extro?

Wow two posts in one day! Lol I haven’t done that in a very long time now have I?

Well, I found THIS post and I wanted to share it out with you guys.

Finish reading? So now here’s the question: are you an introvert? I now know that I am after reading that list. Pretty impressive list don’t you think so? I totally agree with it. maybe some of you extroverts don’t but it’s ok..

i’ve picked out some points that applies to me best from the 23:

2: you go to parties, but not to meet people

“ At a party, most introverts would rather spend time with people they already know and feel comfortable around.”

That there is so true. It’s a huge burden to have to mingle with everybody, which was why I was rather reluctant to attend the reunion a few weeks back. I know it was not to “meet new people” since we were all classmates before but the thought of having to mingle was the one that threw me off. Personally, I would prefer a small little gathering of about ten. That would suffice for me. Needless to say I went for that reunion and true enough to the above sentence, I ended up talking with three people the whole night, out of the 20 something that came.

3: you often feel alone in a crowd

"We might let friends or activities pick us, rather than extending our own invitations." Dembling

That is so true..really, when in a crowd, we really would just like to keep to ourselves and mind out own business. I myself would rather not reach out or go out of my way to participate but if somebody were to pull me into an activity, I would most likely participate. It’s..rather..terrifying really..it really is..

6: you’re easily distracted

Hahahahaha omg I cannot tell you how much this point applies to me lololol let’s face it guys, I get distracted super easily

7: downtime doesn’t feel unproductive to you

Omg yes! I super love downtime, or as I like to call it: Me time.

“One of the most fundamental characteristics of introverts is that they need time alone to recharge their batteries.”

Yup yup! Couldn’t agree more. Seriously, I love my time alone. I get to do whatever I want. You can leave me home alone for an entire day and I’ll never be restless.

10: you start to shut down after you’ve been active for too long

Like seriously, especially if I’m suddenly loaded with too many things to do. I just shut down, like that /snaps fingers/ I’ll be like, just sitting there staring off into space or just minding my business, not talking unless directly spoken to or sometimes, I don’t even care what people beside me are talking about, I just zone out and stare off into space.

11 -> 16

All true.

Well for 11, not so much as “being in a relationship” but all of my close friends are hyper extroverts which is why I enjoy their company a lot. They do all the hyper and all the talking while I can just chill and be comfortable.

21: You’ve been told to “come out of your shell.”

I’ve never actually been told that but I have been told that I need to get out of my comfort zone, food wise, and try new things. Actually the exact words are

“ah girl ah..you need to find somebody who can get you out from your comfort zone and also help you finish the stuff that you don’t like on your plate, like these onions”

Yup..lol

22: you are a writer

Hahahahahaha

23: you alternate between phases of work and solitude and periods of social activity

Yup yup. Like in one of the points above, I really do need some me time to recharge. Even if it’s like just one or two hours at night before I go to bed, it’s enough. Then I’m as good as new the next day to play and stuff haha

I don't know why, but I'm really happy to find out that I'm an introvert at heart. It feels really good to come to that realisation that you are not what you have always thought you are. It's like, you've found a piece of yourself and I've been in a really good mood the whole day so this just adds up to the good mood points =]

So..what are you guys like? Any points that applies to you guys? =]
