Right...

So, I just moved into a new place and while I’m finding it pretty comfy..the landlady is slowly getting on my “stop talking to me or you’ll upset me” list.

Last Saturday after lunch, a very pushy Nice senpai said she wanted to take a look at my room. Thinking it was just a short visit I didn’t put much thought into it at all so I brought her up to the condo without informing the landlady (let’s call her LL for now..malas wanna type panjang panjang).

So while Nice senpai was looking around my new room, which wasn’t that big she was just snooping around my stuff and we chatted for a while, I got a call from LL and the conversation went along the lines of her telling me that

“I thought I told you not to tell people where you live?”

“who is your friend? Guy or girl? Is she your best friend? How long have you known her for?”

Bla blab la

Ok fine, it was my mistake for not informing her earlier that Nice senpai was going to come up for a while but come on, let’s get real. The situation was just like her coming up to use the bathroom and chill for a while before she was on her merry way. Simple as that. But nooooooo she had to make a fuss about it. Note that I did not once apologise for it. I don’t feel like I have to. Honestly, if this situation were to repeat itself, I'll just say "she's my girlfriend. Got a problem?" just to spite her.

So she called me out from my room while I was watching American Hustle (minus a gazillion points for having me pause my Jennifer Lawrence movie) to the living room and gave me..the talk.

“The talk” was such a waste of time and energy. It was all about how she survived in KL for 27 years, still able to walk around freely because she mixed with the right people. And I was like thinking

Excuse me? Are you saying my senpais are not good people? Well excuse you! They’re the best bunch of senpais I can ask for! I can live through a hundred internships and never deserve senpais like them! Badmouth my judgement in people, fine! But don’t. ever. Talk bad about my senpais especially Nice and Clover. And if you didn’t want people to know where you live you shouldn’t have rented out the space in the first place!

Boy was I pissed. Insinuating that I have bad judgement, ok fine I’ll let that slide but insinuating that my colleagues are bad people? Excuse me you don’t even know them. Heck you don’t even know me. Who died and made you queen? Who gave you the power to judge me? I’ve known you barely a week. (Insinuating my senpais are bad people: minus another gazillion points!)

And then she went on about how people did some bad hocus pocus stuff on her and I’m like thinking

So? You’re telling me this because? Advice? Sure I can take a hint, you don’t have to tell me your life story, I’m not interested. I’m not superstitious but I do know those hocus pocus stuff exists and I believe that as long as I don’t purposely disturb them, they won’t disturb me.

And the nerves she had to say all that to me, taking up half an hour of my American Hustle time, and then tell me

“I’m not trying to advice you”

yea right -.-

Ah hah..excuse me..excuse me. Not trying to advice, of course, sure, whatever floats your boat man..whatever floats your boat. I’m outta here. So I got up and wanted to go back to my room and then suddenly she says she saw online that Indonesia was snowing! And by that time I was already really annoyed.

She even showed me the video she saw it from and the whole shebang! So I entertained her for another five minutes or so while she went on and on about how 2012 was a point of change for earth and how God didn’t want to change the world overnight (it would cause chaos she reasoned and I agreed) so He did it slowly. Apparently it snowed in the Philippines a few weeks (or was it months?) ago. By that time I wasn’t even trying to act interested anymore, not that I was interested in the first place. After she finished talking, I turn to my heels and headed for my door.

Snowing in tropical countries. /scoffs/ I am the daughter of a Geography teacher. Find something else other than the Earth and its weather pattern/climate to tell me. You think I’d fall for stuff like this? She probably thinks I’m some stupid and naïve kid or something. News flash! I’m 22 and I’m perfectly capable of handling things by myself without your help. She thinks my senpais are bad people? /scoffs/ excuse me at least I know what’s their job and where they’re from. Up until now, I don’t even know what LL’s job is. She told me like..three different jobs already so far and I’m like thinking

wait, what?

Excuse me? You know what I do daily right? My job basically has me questioning every single thing our clients tell me. Clover senpai told me to always ask to clarify until I’m satisfied with the answers given. And here you are, telling me all sorts of jobs. You’re lucky I don’t bother much about people I just met or you are going to be audited.

Oh yes, before I end this..I’ve taken the liberty to google about the “bizarre snowing” and turns out, as I have known they were, fake. /rolls eyes/ next time you wanna tell a person that a tropical country is snowing, get your facts right and make sure that person isn’t the daughter of a Geography teacher.
