Pros and Cons

I’ve been asked this question pretty often now after three months

“So do you like working better or studying better?”

To be very honest, as much as I hate studying, I kinda of like it better. But then again I hate exams to the core, so I like working better. Both have their own pros and cons and here are some that I can think of at the moment:

Studying
Pros:
·         Responsibilities aren’t that big and you know that no matter how badly you screw up a report, you can always unscrew-up by doing well in the finals
·         You can skip class as much as you want when you don’t feel like going (as long as you don’t get barred from exams!)
·         You can yum cha till ungodly hours into the night and sleep half the day away because your class doesn’t start till afternoon
·         No matter how much you delay doing your assignment, you can always get it done if you have awesome and supportive friends who have not gotten tired of your shit
·         Playing around with your friends during lecture and getting away with it because you’re teacher’s pet

Cons:
  • ·         Exams (need I say more?)
  • ·         Lecturers who are making your studying life a nightmare because they can (in other words: lecturers who are asses)
  • ·         Lecturers who are so lousy that you wonder what possessed them to be lecturers in the first place (probably have this diabolical plan to ruin the generation with their disastrous teaching styles)

Working
Pros:
  • ·         NO EXAMS!!
  • ·         Earning and spending your own money a.k.a. financial freedom
  • ·         Having free time (because you don’t need to study anymore) to do whatever you want like hanging out, watching movies, playing games and sports!
  • ·         Feeling like an adult (this is more of an intrinsic thing)
  • ·         Meeting great seniors who are willing to teach and are great friends
  • ·         Having that office team spirit
  • ·         Going on working trips that ended up feeling like a mini vacation

Cons:
  • ·         If you screw something up, prepare to face your immediate superior for a bitching session or possibly being fired on the spot if it’s severe enough
  • ·         Superiors who are making your working life a nightmare because they can (in other words: superiors who are asses)
  • ·         Not knowing what to do because your ass of a superior refuses to teach but instead barks at you for not knowing what to do
  • ·         Client who are making your working life a nightmare because they can (asses, again)
  • ·         The possible mountain of work being pushed to you and you can’t delay getting to them like in Uni

That’s about it I guess? That’s all I can think of at the moment. Close enough XD
