*gulp*

Two weeks have passed and now the brunette is feeling that familiar feeling, almost déjà vu. Sitting in class amongst her classmates, class commenced as usual with their tutor being very intimidating. It was her usual style of teaching, with her deadly glares and piercing sharp speech, she could easily silence the whole class with one short sentence or even just a glare. It reminded the brunette so much of a certain 22-year-old princess she adored.

Class went by smoothly with a few occasional awkward silences generated by the tutor. If it were caused by that princess, it would’ve been called the Sica-effect. But here, the brunette chose to name it the ‘Ms Lim effect’.

Tutorial was relatively short most of the time with the tutor talking like a rapper and also there weren’t many questions to begin with, only 4 for this particular week. Every question was discussed and half an hour later, the tutor finally picked up the stack of papers on her table and begin to read out names.

One by one, each took turns to go up to collect his/her midterm results but the brunette remained glued to her seat until the very end when they tutor asked ‘who here hasn’t got their paper back?’

The brunette raised her hand together with a few others who came into her class for replacement. Their paper were, naturally, not in that stack and the tutor ignored them and turned her attention to the brunette.

‘Did you double check your answers before submission?’ she asked in a very skeptical manner, the brunette gulped before answering.

‘yes..’

‘Are you sure?’ the tutor raised a brow.

Swallowing a lump in her throat, the brunette croaked her reply.

‘..yes..’

The tutor rolled her eyes at her and shook her head, like she always does, and returned her her midterm.

‘..thank you..’ the brunette glanced at her paper and returned to her seat.

‘The highest in this class is 53/60, and it’s not her, she was one mark short, she got 52’ the tutor announced to the class.

The brunette was overjoyed at her results as she knew that she had redeemed herself from the disastrous first test.
