Sleeping Habits - Waking Up A Zhi, An Introduction

Previously, I’ve already posted on how a Zhi sleeps. So now in this post we will find out how a Zhi usually wakes up:

1. On a typical weekday, Zhi wakes up pretty easily; bolting up as soon as the alarm goes off and her hand will be feeling about the table for her phone to off the alarm. She may grumble a bit at first but it’s as far as it gets. She rarely falls back asleep and usually gets up right away after sitting upright for a while to shake the sleep away.

2. When a Zhi is overworked or too tired, she usually won’t hear the alarm at all. It’ll be as if she never set the alarm and it never rang. Her eyes would usually open wide abruptly and she sits up just as quickly and first thing she grabs it the clock and checks the time.

3. When waking up a Zhi don’t be mad if she just waves her hand to shoo you out from her room, it is very normal. She hears you calling her, she just doesn’t want to sit up and tell you ‘ok’. So she just takes her hand out from under the blankets and shoo you away. And also if you ever peek into her room after you get shooed, don’t be surprised if you find her still curled up underneath her blankets. It’s also very normal. She’ll probably sleep for a few more minutes before reluctantly getting up and proceed to wash up.

4. If you have seen how her mother wakes her up, you would know that her mother usually grabs her right big toe to lift the leg and gives it a shake saying ‘time to wake up, you’re going to be late’ to which Zhi just shakes off the hand and mumbles an incomprehendable (lol got such a word?) ‘en na…’ proceeded by the hand shooing

5. When Zhi was still in school, she had her alarm clock wake her up (she offs it and fall back asleep, then her mother comes tug her leg and she wakes up). The clock is situated on her right so every morning when it rings, she turns her body to the right and whacks the clock hard to off the alarm and then turns back to her previous position to continue her snooze till her mother comes to wake her up.

6. Zhi’s eyes automatically start to open when it has passed a certain time, for example: if she had set her alarm to ring at 9am, her eyes would start to open around 8.30am. She knows that the alarm hasn’t rang yet so she opens only her left eye (sometimes the right) and turns her head upwards to check the time (the alarm clock is behind her head on the table) and then quickly falls back to sleep before she gets too awake. She’ll wake up when the alarm rings later on.

Jjajjang~!

so this is how I usually wake up =] how do you guys wake up??
