Books

Books, I love them don’t you? Even as a kid I absolutely refused to leave the book shop unless I’ve bought one. If I did leave empty handed, I’d feel empty too. I remembered always going into the bookstore and head right to the Enid Blyton section. I loved those books. Tales of fairies, imps, goblins etc, how I missed them.

Of course now that I’m older, I still love books but I’m getting increasingly lazy to read them. I love buying books. Now that my hometown has a branch of Popular Bookstores, I visit quite often and almost never come out empty handed (well, there were once or twice).

New books are love! I almost never lend them out to my friends to read, mainly because I don’t want to go through the heartache of my precious new book ruined when it comes back to me (due to a bad experience, I don’t just lend it to anybody now). When I read, the book is never opened more than a 90 degree angle. I don’t want lines to form at its spine. I’d be really upset if others caused the lines, if it were my own doing I won’t because well, the book is mine.

You wanna know what’s my little dream? I was thinking when I grow up and have a house of my own, I’m gonna have a reading room, just like the one I wrote for ‘What If’. Shelves will lines up the walls and filled with books of all sorts, like a mini library.
