Speak Out, Let Yourself Be Heard!

Don’t let the title fool you; this post isn’t going to be some motivational talk encouraging people to let themselves be heard or anything like that.

I had my speaking test today and the title I got was totally unexpected and I was so shocked to see it when I saw the question paper on the table as I took my seat as Candidate C.

My title was: Ways To Enjoy Life and my stand was to enjoy life, one has to enjoy the things that one does.

We were given two minutes to write down our points during Task A which was the individual talk and to be very honest, my mind was blank. I didn’t know what to write but I definitely had a rough idea of what I wanted to say. The thing is, with this kind of topic, I can’t really put it in words but to express whatever came to my mind spontaneously.

So after the test was over, I snuck into class and sat at the back before proceeding to the front during break time to be with my friends. When I told them about my title and my stand, one of them commented ‘Wah, your stand is exactly like you! Really suitable’

Which of course I think is totally true. A person such as myself, to enjoy life is to enjoy what I do, though some hypocrisy might be in there somewhere, still I do enjoy most of the things that I do.

During the entire Speaking test, I was squeezing my brain trying to recall some of the stuff I wrote for my blog because I remembered that I have written about this kind of topic a while back but I got nothing, so I had to think of new stuff and I ended up blabbering about practically anything that crossed my mind, which didn’t turn out so bad after all. (kekeke)

Even though we agreed on appreciating the things that one has being the best way to enjoy life (all because of a stubborn senior who hogged the talking time), I still believe that by enjoying what one does is the best way to enjoy life. After all, it’s when you enjoy things that you learn to appreciate them, isn’t it? haha
